88th Annual FFA Convention

Dubiski FFA spent a week in Dallas at the 88th Annual Texas FFA Convention. These students elected new state officers, voted on state level business, attended leadership workshops, and built relationships with FFA members from all over the state. Antonio Mendoza was a member of the State Courtesy Corp and helped run activities during the convention. AB Verdejo received the award of Agriculture Mechanics Repair & Maintenance Placement Proficiency 1st in State. Way to Go AB! Dr. Susan Hull, Grand Prairie ISD Superintendent, received her Honorary Lonestar Degree at an awards banquet during convention.

Tractor Restoration Team Advances to Nationals

The Tractor restoration Team qualified and competed in the 20th Annual Chevron DELO Tractor Restoration
Competition that was held in Louisville, Kentucky on October 28 & 29.
Team members are: Edwin Castro, Leo Davila, Isaiah Camacho, Salvador Camacho Josue Martinez, AB Verdejo, & Alex Valdez

Dubiski FFA LDE Teams Advance to Area

Several Members of the Dubiski FFA traveled to Dallas Skyline High School to compete in the District 3 Leadership
Development Events on November 5. Three teams advanced to the Area Competition which will be held at Krum
High School on November 21.
The teams advancing are:
Greenhand Skills: District Champs: Cameron Coyle, Rodolpho Gaitan & Jose Davila
Senior Quiz Team: District Champs: Irving Montenegro, Salvador Camacho, Jorge Ramos & Efrain Robles
Senior Skills Demonstration: District Champs: Edwin Castro, Isaiah Camacho, Leo Davila & Alex Valdez
Other LDE Contestants were:
Spanish Creed Speaker: 2nd Place, Richard Hernandez
FFA Radio Broadcasting: Isaiah Camacho, Danny Vigil & Alex Valdez
Senior Creed Speaker: Josue Martinez
